Completion of roadwork has improved traffic management as well as commuter convenience.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed work at the intersection between the Rabat Street and Marrakesh Street near Dubai International Airport. The improvement in the road structure has led to better traffic management due to increase in road capacity.

The crossing of this intersection has heavy loads of traffic which is coming from the Festival city and the airport Terminals, both 1 and 2. More lanes have been added to the intersection to divert traffic out and increase convenience of travelers.

RTA is looking to enhance the customer service with better roadwork as a quick traffic solution. The changes will provide a safer experience for the drivers.

“The traffic improvement works at the intersection of Marrakesh Street and Rabat Street included increasing the number of lanes from two to three for the traffic coming from Dubai Festival City and heading left to Rabat Street in the direction of Sheikh Rashid Road, and adding two to three lanes for the traffic incoming from the airport and heading left towards Rabat Street in the direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road,” said Maitha bin Udai, CEO of RTA Traffic and Roads Agency (TRA) at the RTA.
