A package of 30 new smart services will be launched by GDRFA (The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs) Dubai. The first phase of smart services has already been completed by the launch of 28 services. The unveiling of 30 new smart services marks the second phase which will further add to the convenience of the customers.
The newly launched services will be made available to residents, Emiratis and business organizations via smartphones and tablet PCs. Speaking on the occasion, Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA talked about launching of the government services on smartphones and tablet PCs, allowing easy accessibility and management of services to customers from anywhere at any time. This initiative supports the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for the smart government drive.
The message by the Director General assures customers of complete privacy and confidentiality, preventing malpractices like unauthorized usage or manipulation. He also added that the government is following zero tolerance policy towards privacy while strictly adhering to traditions, principles and values. He also revealed the following important statistics:
