Government centers will now be rated by customers on grounds of effective customer service provided to them.

The introduction of the star rating system, which will rate all government services center has been announced by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The government centers being rated will be based on the customer service criteria which is taken from the private sector and will have a range of minimum two stars and up to seven stars. The ratings of every center will be displayed on its entrance.

Shaikh Muhammad announced that so far 3 of the centers have achieved a five star rating, 33 centers received four-star ratings and 39 centers received a three-star rating.

“More important than the service it is the way in which it is being delivered, and customer satisfaction is more important than the number of completed applications. Our goal is for the UAE to be a leading country in global practices in the area of customer service. The star rating system for government service centres was created by Emiratis, and we have asked them to adhere to global private sector criteria during the classification process. This is an Emirati experience that is available to everyone who is interested,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

“The UAE government is striving to compete with the private sector. The message we want to convey to everyone is that government centres are centres of innovation and development, and good hospitality,” he added.

The successful implementation of this plan, will result in centers being aware of the importance of their customers and the service provided to them.
