Ithmaar Bank Introduces New Prepaid e-Card for Online Shoppers

Ithmaar Bank, a leading Islamic retail bank in Bahrain has now introduced a new Sharia-compliant prepaid e-Card for its customers.

According to Ithmaar Bank, the new prepaid e-Card is specifically designed to offer customers fast, secure and a seamless online shopping experience. This will significantly enhance the customer experience. The new card also offers some unique benefits and features, such as minimum top-up of just BD1, real-time top-ups and daily top-up via Ithmaar Bank’s e-Payment platforms along with usage limit of up to BD 10,000.

The users of the e-Card will also be able to join Ithmaar Bank’s successful loyalty programme, Ithmaar Rewards, which will give them loyalty points upon every transaction. Furthermore, customers will be notified about every transaction through SMS and monthly e-statements, while exclusive discounts will also be offered on acquiring the services of Aramex for shipping. In addition, users will get US $5 lifetime ‘Aramex Shop and Ship’ membership.

The General Manager of Ithmaar Bank’s Retail and Private Banking Division, Abdul Hakeem Al Mutawa said in a statement that Ithmaar Bank has always led the way when it comes to identifying latest trends in the industry and introducing Sharia-compliant products and services.

He said that with the growing popularity of online shopping, the launch of new Sharia-compliant prepaid e-Card for customers is a step in the right direction. Shedding light on the new card’s features, he said that the card will enable customers to safely and conveniently receive their purchases from 15 different countries across the world to Bahrain via ‘Shop and Ship’ service of Aramex.
