Customers of Etisalat will not require a subscription or deposit before using their phones abroad.

Etisalat are now enhancing their roaming services by offering more cost effective rates in 190 countries, with the goal of beating competition and strengthening their market share. Dubai is now hub for travelers who come to the Emirate for its tourist attractions and because of Dubai’s importance as a regional centre of trade, commerce and the knowledge economy. Prepaid and postpaid customers alike can now remain connected while travelling without paying high roaming charges.

The roaming charges for incoming calls begin at Dh0.5 for the initial minute and other packages are also available that vary with users demand. The packages range in three categories — 25MB for Dh25, 100MB for Dh100 and 1GB for Dh200.

The traveler package provides travelers with a package offer of 1GB plus 1000 minutes of incoming calls for Dh500 per month.

Customers can easily travel and continue to use Etisalat as their network provider, without the hassle of subscription on money deposits.

Khaled Elkhouly, chief marketing officer, said: “Roaming charges are a key concern for today’s well-travelled consumers and we don’t want to toe the line when it comes offering a cost effective service. Our fantastic roaming offers provide customers with flexibility, simplicity and, above all, cost-saving; meaning there is no need to purchase a phone card or subscribe to additional services.
