Salvador Anglada, Chief Business Officer at Etisalat outlined the significance of small and medium businesses, since they contribute to the UAE economy in developing a culture of entrepreneurship among young people. He also said that small and medium sized businesses are different from large companies, hence they have varying needs, which is why SMB dedicated call center is tailor-made for their requirements. Deploying different technologies for businesses of various sizes can be beneficial, since they promise operational efficiency in the long-run.
The dedicated call center for SMBs is essentially an extension of Etisalat’s existing customer care team, which is already serving close to 11 million customers in the UAE. Etisalat recently launched an extensive campaign to recruit suitably qualified business agents for the new SMBs call center department. In order to ensure quality customer service, the selected candidates have to go through stringent training before they are allowed to provide customer support. The dedicated call center will operate round-the-clock, providing technical support, ranging from general queries about business services to billing enquiries and service disruptions
John Lincoln, Senior Vice President of Small and Medium Businesses at Etisalat said that the new initiative is in line with UAE’s vision to boost economic growth in the region, and making United Arab Emirates a business hub. He said that the new call center is equipped with addressing a variety of business needs. In addition to providing support for advanced telecom, the new call center also aims to increase business competitiveness through requisite professional support.
