Etisalat Introduces First ‘Smart Machine’ in UAE to Sell SIM Cards to Customers

Etisalat, a prominent telecom company, has introduced an interactive touch screen ‘Smart Service’ machine in the UAE for the very first time to sell new activated prepaid SIM cards. The telecom giant has revealed that the ‘Smart Service’ machine has an inbuilt ability to authenticate the Emirates ID that will allow customers to buy new activated prepaid SIM cards within a few minutes. This will make the buying process easy and add to the overall customer experience.

Initially customers will only be able to buy prepaid SIM cards from the innovative machine, but later they will be able to buy post-paid SIMs too. Etisalat also has plans to offer some other services through this machine in the coming days such as SIM re-registration and SIM Swap (Card replacement).

For now, Etisalat is going to place the first machine at its Al Kifaf office in Dubai. Later the leading telecom operator will add 20 more machines to its network across the UAE including malls, airports and Etisalat business centres.
