Etihad Airways has introduced the Pay@home option which comes from money transfer company Payfort. It has become the first airline in the Middle East to offer such a service. Customers no longer need to worry about paying for their tickets through their credit/debit cards. The idea is to make it more convenient for customers to make the payments. The airline is now allowing passengers to pay for their flights from home, in cash. Etihad Airways has stated that passengers can book flights and auxiliary services, such as extra luggage fees, using Pay@home.
This payment option allows for cash to be collected by a courier service from the designated address so that the deal can be paid for within 24 hours of the booking. This new initiative from the airline will work towards enhancing customer experience.
