Dubai International Airport runway will be undergoing upgrade for a period of 80 days. During this period, each aircraft has been given a fixed landing and take-off time with no room for delays. Passengers are also advised to reach boarding gate 20 minutes in advance and anyone coming after that will not be accommodated.
“We have focused our efforts over the past few months to ensure smooth operations during this period and minimizing any inconvenience to our passengers while in the long run boosting safety, service and capacity levels at the airport,” said Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths.
Mohammed H Y Mattar, Division Senior Vice President of Emirates Airport Services, speaking to the media said, all check in terminals at the Dubai International will be shut one hour prior to take off. In order to avoid inconvenience and deliver a smooth customer experience, the airline has advised its customers in advance so travel arrangements can be made accordingly.
