An announcement for activation of link between Dubai Islamic Bank and Government Resources Planning has been made by Dubai Smart Government. This new linkage would help automate government suppliers’ processes and payment of salaries. The main purpose of activating this link is to streamline all processes between the government and its suppliers.

This new linkage would enable suppliers to send invoices, raise enquiries, access their data and carry out commercial transactions online. The new system will eliminate the need for suppliers to physically visit the facilities.

The process will empower authorized staff at government entities to directly make payments to suppliers. They would also be able to pay salaries to the employees. Director General of DSG, H.E Ahmed Bin Humaidan talked about the importance of this newly established link, saying, “Activating electronic linkage and fully automating payment between DSG and DIB are aimed at supporting the acceleration of the transition to smart government in implementation of the directives of His Highness Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai, which call for completing the transition within the deadline.”

CEO Dubai Islamic Bank was also present on this occasion who talked about this new alliance’s importance for the organization, saying that this partnership was a very important part of their strategy in alignment with Dubai Government’s vision for smart initiatives. He endorsed government’s plans to build a high end customer service experience while adhering to international standards.
