Dubai Customs have upgraded and launched several of its smart services recently. This includes a revamped version of the existing smartphone app. The new app is now accessible on all mobile operating systems. Customers will be able to request services, process applications and check status of inquires already forwarded.  The new services were unveiled at the Dubai Customs Head Office by Director of Dubai Customs Mr. Ahmad Mahboob Musabih.

The upgrades to the app were considered to be necessary to ensure it was at par with latest technology trends. The customers will be facilitated further with the addition of new value added features.

Speaking on this occasion, Bin Sulayem said that the re-launch of services was just a small step towards Dubai Custom’s transition to a smart government department. The department aims to further improve its quality of service to maximize level of customer satisfDubai Customs Smartphone Appaction achieved.

The new updates also focus on re-launch of a more mobile friendly website and ensure availability of this service on smart watches. This update will contribute to the Smart Government initiative launched by Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice- President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. These initiatives will help Dubai Government realize its vision of making Dubai the world’s smartest city. A recent survey by Dubai Customs revealed a customer satisfaction rate of 89%.

Smartphone friendly website would ensure all important features that need to be incorporated have been included. The department has ensured availability of the new service on smart watches in order to remain ahead of other service providers. Some of the important features offered by Dubai Customs on smart watches include:

  • Inquiry of Customs Declaration.
  • Inquiry of Inspection Request Status.
  • Inquiry of Guarantee Refund Request Status.
  • Inquiry of Registration Request Status.

Dubai Customs is working to offer all of the services on smart watches.
