Following the strategy of converting all its services into smart services to save time and effort of customers, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has started offering all its services to commercial customers via its smart app and website from April 1, 2015.
As a result of this move, commercial customers can now use DEWA smart app and website for a number of services and transactions such as activation of supply (move-in), final bill request (move-out), for updating contact information, high low consumption details and billing queries.
Customers no longer have to go to the DEWA offices to complete their transactions and have to do it online or via smart app. The smart services will enhance customer experience and benefit a huge population in the region, as according to a statement, DEWA has a total of 198,000 commercial customers.
On this occasion, the MD & CEO of DEWA Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer stated that the new move is in line with the Dubai Smart Initiative. He further added that the organization is constantly innovating for increasing customer satisfaction. The transition also backs Dubai’s efforts to achieve sustainable development and protect the environment.
The smart app of DEWA offers more than 150 features and services that are provided to meet the needs and expectations of customers, suppliers, consultants, jobseekers, people with special needs and government organizations.
In addition, the smart app works with different mobile platforms including Blackberry, iOS and Android. Furthermore, customers can also access it through different operating systems like Windows Phone, Windows, Etisalat’s eLife, Samsung home entertainment systems and by its web application that is available on the DEWA website.
