UAE Ministry of Interior has introduced a new electronic service which will allow customers to pay the financial documents and health insurance fees through smartphone application.
The new service will enable customers to pay for long term, short term and domestic workers’ visit visas fees without having to visit the related centers. The Ministry of Interior is deploying all information technology means to enhance customer experience by offering convenience and time saving procedures. A few months ago, MoI streamlined the process of passport renewal with the launch of mobile application, which enables residents to apply for passport renewal without having to visit the center and wait in queues.
Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Chairman of the Ministry of Interior’s E-transformation Higher Committee, said that the new service is in line with Federal Government’s strategy to revamp and improve customer service experience. He further added that the new, streamlined procedures will save time and effort, as customers will no longer be required to visit official centers or banks. Mobile phone application can be used to obtain and pay for various services related to Ministry of Interior. Major General Al Raisi highlighted that the new service will not only reduce the processing time, but will also help cut down on paperwork and promote an environmentally friendly process. Customers can benefit from the efficient service for all their visa services payments.
Major General Al Raisi said that Ministry of Interior has made all official documents, visas and certificates electronically available, which can be accessed through smartphone application or MoI’s official website.
