Abu Dhabi Airport Welcomes 1.5 Million Passengers in Just One Month

Abu Dhabi Airport becomes a global hub of the Middle East for passengers around the world.

Abu Dhabi International Airport witnessed a 14.5 percent increase in customers in January this year as compared to the same last year. According to a statement, 1.5 million passengers traveled through the airport in January this year.

The Aircraft traffic also saw an escalation of 7.7 percent compared to last year, with a total of 11,972 movements, and also an 58,114 tonnes of cargo was managed at the Airport, also achieving an increase of 18.9 percent in equation to January 2013.

Abu Dhabi is known for its exceptional customer service and customer management, especially now since it’s become a global hub for air transport, and is serving customers from all over the world.

John Strickland, Director of UK-based aviation advisory shed light on how Etihad Airways plays a pivotal role in establishing Abu Dhabi Airport as a hub, through its code sharing partnership and increasing networks.

Last month the top five routes chosen by passengers from Abu Dhabi International Airport were Bangkok, Jeddah, London, Manila and Doha.
