RTA Offers Exclusive Marine Transit Packages for New Year Celebrations

Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced new marine transit special offers and services for customers celebrating New Year’s Eve. RTA will be offering customers special packages for the Water Bus, Water Taxi, Dubai Ferry and Abra on the eve of the New Year so that they can enjoy a better view of the spectacular fireworks in Dubai. This will be a great attraction for both residents and tourists.

Hussain Khansaheb, Director of Marine Transport, RTA Public Transport Agency, said that RTA has offered these services in a bid to enhance interactions with customers. He also said that all arrangements have been made to ensure smooth functioning of all modes of services, which will offer a unique customer experience, with a clear view of New Year’s celebrations taking place at Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and Atlantis.

Customers can enjoy the fireworks display while cruising on water. Tickets can be purchased by customers in advance and RTA’s toll-free number (8009090) can be called for further information.

Water Bus, Water Taxi & Dubai Ferry services will start at 10 pm and will continue until 1 am, while abra trips begin at 11 pm and continue till 12 pm the next day. Jumeirah Palm’s Bridge will be the assembly point for the Water Bus service. The ticket price is set at 100 dirham per person for adults. There is a 50% discount for children, while children who are under two are being offered free passage.

Water Taxi trips start off at Marina Promenade and Burj Al Arab will be the Assembly Point. The Water Taxi can be hired for AED 3,000 for an exclusive trip, which can accommodate up to 10 people.

Dubai Ferry ticket prices vary according to the class: silver costs 200 dirhams and gold class costs 300 dirhams. Abra trips start off at the Festival City Station to the Dubai Creek and tickets are offered at 25 dirhams per head.
