The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that it has added new features to the Salik smart app. As a result, now motorists can not only use the smart app to view vehicle registration and receive announcements, but also submit objections to offences and top-up their Salik accounts.
The new update will also enable users to check their annual trip records as well as creating and updating their Salik account. RTA revealed that the complaint follow-up procedure has also been made quite easy in the latest version of the Salik smart app. This will significantly enhance the customer experience.
Salik is one of the most popular apps of RTA that has witnessed over 451,880 downloads till this day. With the addition of the new features, it is anticipated that the app will see more downloads.
Revealing the aim behind introducing the latest features in the Salik smart app, the CEO of RTA’s Traffic & Roads Agency, Engineer Maitha bin Udai said that new services are introduced to save both time and efforts of customers. According to her, customers can now connect with Salik’s call centre by using this app on their mobile device, which will eliminate the need to frequent the customer service centres.
