UAE’s leading telecom operator, Etisalat and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), have joined hands to introduce the first-of-its-kind Mobile Cashier service across the country. The mobile POS solution for business customers will enable them to proficiently accept payments through prepaid, credit or debit cards and handle cash transactions via their mobile phones. This will add to the convenience of customers.
Etisalat and NBAD aligned their efforts to launch Mobile Cashier service in order to equip merchants in the United Arab Emirates with the most advanced and cutting-edge mobile technology. The easy-to-use solution is highly secured and converts a cell phone into a portable credit or debit card machine. This enables businesses to carry out financial transactions from anywhere, at any time, which will help them significantly boost their sales.
Mobile Cashier service will empower merchants to accept payments directly through their mobile phones by securely developing connection with a card reader through Bluetooth. Additionally, business customers will be able to send transaction receipts through email or SMS. This will enhance the customer experience. In case, customer demands for a print out, merchants can use a portable printer to print the receipts.
Sharing his views on this occasion the CEO of Etisalat, Saleh Al Abdooli said, his company has always been a forerunner in introducing latest solutions and meeting customer expectations. He said that they are particularly very excited about their partnership with NBAD on this important project, through which they have introduced UAE’s first-of-its-kind technology.
Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Alex Thursby said, that customers want convenience in paying for goods and services via cards. With the launch of Mobile Cashier service that NBAD has delivered in association with Etisalat, now merchants will be able to cater this demand from customers.
