Foundation has been laid for three new theme parks in Dubai. The first park has been particularly designed for younger generation of children aged between 2 and 12, which will be the Legoland Park. The second park is inspired by the Indian Film Industry Bollywood, making up for first phase of the project. The third theme park is Motiongate Dubai where visitors will be able to get closer to Hollywood Dream Factory. The rides will take visitors through four different zones designed on the Hollywood theme. These theme parks will offer exhilarating rides to customers, providing them with a fun filled enjoyable experience.

One of Dubai’s leading developer Meraas Holding will be working on these theme parks. The first phase is estimated to be completed in 2016. The investment planned by Meraas was estimated to be around AED 10 billion. The outlay for the mega project has been recently unveiled. It is expected that with the launch of these new theme parks there will be a further boost to the tourism industry of Dubai with an increase of five million visitors annually.

Dubai government is creating new sights and sounds to attract tourists from all over the world. It is worth mentioning here that it was recently announced that Mall of the World which will have the world’s largest indoor theme park will soon be added as a prime tourist attraction to Dubai.

Chairman of Meraas Holding, Mr. Abdullah Al Habbai was of the view that the addition of new tourism attractions would contribute towards Dubai Tourism Vision 2020. Besides boosting tourism, the new projects are anticipated to generate thousands of job opportunities.

Along with the three theme parks, a themed hotel is also included in the plan named Lapita. Also included is Riverpark which is an entrance plaza having dining, entertainment and retail facilities.

The overall impact of creation of these parks will be an increase in the tourism sector as it would give visitors many more entertainment options.
