The Dubai Tram will cost commuters Dh3 on the Silver class and Dh6 on the Gold class. NoL cards will be required to pay the fares across all stations. Senior citizens will be offered 50 per cent discount on all fares. The infrastructure designed for the project also includes multiple footbridges, parking areas and taxi lay-bys at various stations. The stations are designed to be special needs-friendly.
The tram will make a trip every 10 minutes during peak hours and every 12 minutes during non-peak hours. The track has a total of 11 air-conditioned stations, which connect densely populated areas Al Sufouh, Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence.
In order to add to the customer experience, UAE telecom company du will provide complementary Wi-Fi to tram-users for the first two days of its operation.
