Etihad Airways, the UAE based airline, has won the awards for “Best Airline in the World” and “Best International Airline” at the Destaque Awards in Brazil.
The awards bring together participants from 21 categories, ranging over multiple segments such as destinations, airlines, hotels, restaurants and sustainable tourism etc.
Etihad Airways was chosen by a panel of 30 experienced industry specialists at the gala ceremony at the WTC Golden Hall in Sao Paulo. The airline has achieved these awards on the grounds of delivering exceptional customer experience as well as its globally famous services, such as onboard Food and beverage, the flying Nanny; which provides customer service to parents with small children and even their chauffer service of providing transportation for First and Business class guests.
Geert Boven, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President Americas, received the award from Companhia de Viagens, Group President, Marcio Moraes, as a representative of the airline.
Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer Peter Baumgartner said: “Being honored with these two awards is a true testament to our efforts to be the world’s best airline. We remain committed to innovating and delivering award-winning products and services in our First, Business and Economy classes.”
