UAE’s national airline, Etihad Airways will now be flying its passengers to from Abu Dhabi to Munich twice a day starting February 2014.

Etihad has been providing passengers the route between Munich to Abu Dhabi on a daily basis since June 2004.  Officials have talked about how this has generated the company with great profits and growth and established a strong volume for Etihad in this European destination.

James Hogan, president and chief executive officer of Etihad Airways, said: “Munich, Germany’s third-biggest city has been one of our most successful European destinations because it retains very strong volumes of business and leisure passengers throughout the year.”

“This doubling of capacity is about serving the growing bi-directional demand, adding depth and scale to our German operations, and facilitating better connections with equity partner airberlin.”

“The new schedule means that Etihad Airways and airberlin will together offer a combined 49 weekly services from four cities in Germany — Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin and Dusseldorf — to Abu Dhabi. From across our network, the new double-daily schedule will offer customers more convenient travel options to Germany and Europe, and in the other direction, additional connections over Abu Dhabi to destinations across the GCC, the Indian Sub-continent, Africa, Asia and Australia,” Hogan added.

Etihad will also be providing additional codeshare connections on multiple airberlin flights across Germany and continental Europe. This is a well thought out step by Etihad, since it will bring them large amount of profit and help them better establish their network and business in Munich.

Not only that, it will bring high levels of satisfaction for the customers who wish to fly by Etihad to Germany , because now they can chose from a daily double schedule, increasing the level of convenience that will be provided by the company.
