Emirates Airlines has started a daily non-stop service to Budapest, which is its first entry into Hungary. Emirates will be using the Airbus A330-200 aircraft in a two-class configuration for its daily flight to Budapest. The airline has also launched a customer contact center in the Hungarian Capital creating 300 jobs.

Thierry Antinori, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates commented on how businesses and individuals in Hungary are likely to benefit from the new flights, since Emirates is set to provide over 60 destinations in the Far East and Australasia, West Asia, Indian Ocean and Middle East. He expressed his confidence about Emirates’ excellent products and award-winning service, which are likely to please Hungarian customers.

Emirates new daily service will give way to additional air links to make Budapest more accessible, while Hungarian travelers will have more options to choose from and better connectivity to the global network, especially Dubai, where they can enjoy the various attractions.

Jost Lammers, Chief Executive Officer, Budapest Airport expressed his delight by applauding Emirates initiative to launch their daily flights from Budapest to Dubai. He further added that tourism has been booming in Budapest, and the new flights will help cater the rising demands for flights to and from the region. In his statement, he hoped that Emirates would soon upgrade aircraft with more capacity.

In addition to the new flights, Emirates has also launched the airline’s Customer Contact Centre in Budapest which is a multi-million dollar investment offering services in multiple languages including English, Hungarian, French, Italian and German. Currently, Emirates’ six global contact centers provide support to more than 48 countries, handling up to 35,000 calls and 6,000 emails on a daily basis. Thierry Antinori, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates said “Our new contact center in Budapest will helps us manage our future growth and consistently deliver a great customer experience.”

The customer contact center will facilitate travelers with reservations, change of schedule, specifying seats and Skywards miles can also be redeemed at the contact center via phone. Besides handling general enquiries about products, services and network, first and business class customers can also book complimentary chauffeur service.
