Shaikh Hamdan’s initiative is directed towards achieving a disabled friendly city by 2020 and providing them with all services.

The Dubai Municipality will look into providing special services for the customers with physical, visual and hearing disabilities when they visit their service centers.  The center will train two staff members to assist the physically disabled, and the customers with hearing impairment will also have two staff members trained in sign language to help them.

The centers will have low height counters and electronic doors, which will support the physically impaired at the service center. Customers will also be provided with special parking for the disabled close to the proximity of the centers.

The goal of providing special services for the customers is being done in support of the initiate by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, which is titled ‘My city is a place for all’, Dubai.

The Dubai Municipality is focusing on providing a better customer experience for its disabled customers with these extra services, in order to help them achieve more and get around conveniently.
