Customers of RAK airlines are in a rage over lack of correspondence by the RAK customer support and no refunds of confirmed seats. The media has also received information through Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority that the airline will not be coming back.
Travel agencies are also in a lot of trouble and have to answer to disgruntled customers who are in the dark and eager to get their refunds.
MPM Mubashir, an authorized ticket handling agent for RAK Airways in India while talking to the XPRESS Gulf News said they had made bookings worth Dh 47,000 and had still not received any funds from the airline through IATA with whom they had a weekly Bank Settlement Plan (BSP).
He added that the suspension by the airline was so sudden that it gave them no time to react and now they were clueless on how and when to reclaim the funds.
The Airline has shown an example of poor customer service, and has also brought its partners in a difficult stop, who now have to deal with angry customers on the behalf of the airline.
Travel agencies have informed about getting several calls daily over enquiries of their refunds of confirmed tickets.
