Motorists in Dubai now have the privilege to get their vehicles tested and registered any time they like, with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offering its services 24/7 in four of its service centers.
The centers will be offering the service from today i.e April 1st at Tasjeel Centre Al Barsha, Tasjeel Centre Al Twar, Tamam Vehicle Testing Centre in Ras Al Khor and Quick Registration in Al Ghusais. Three centers will be providing services for only light vehicles, and Tamam Ras Al Khor will offer services for both light and heavy vehicles.
RTA is looking to improve its customer service as well as increase the volume of customers they can serve at a service center and meet the demands of customers.
“We have seen a great rush in our centers over the last year due to increase in the number of vehicles in Dubai. There has been an 11 per cent growth in vehicles registered in Dubai last year. By adding working hours we are trying to accommodate the rush,” said Ahmad Hashem Behroozian, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency.
“We are exploring ways to offer greater convenience and serve people in a better way. This initiative is in line with His Highness Shaikh Mohammad’s instructions to offer 24-hour service to people. Our focus is to offer smart solutions through mobile, internet as well as service centers. Since certain services like vehicle testing have to be done physically and cannot be done on mobile, we are expanding our service hours,” said Behroozian.
