This year, GITEX launched a 24 hour Hackathon for participants to develop ideas for next generation smart city solutions. As an essential tool for innovation, the GTX App Hack provided an environment for disruption and creativity. The three categories included the Smart Citizen Project, Smart Aviation Project, and the Smart Education Project.
The competition for the best app provided the opportunity to tech geeks to come up with creative ideas, the winners have been awarded with good money which was obviously an incentive for the participants to come up with unique tech ideas.
