Country’s leading manufacturers get together in the first edition of ‘made in UAE’ exhibition and conference, at Expo Centre, Sharjah, dated December 9th to 12th, 2013.

The purpose of the event is to promote UAE’s manufacturing industry, giving a platform to local firms for showcasing their manufacturing capabilities and exploring opportunities for expanding business ties. More than 100 exhibitors from sectors like foodstuff, building materials, furniture and home decor and industrial products are participating in the event.

‘Made in UAE’ exhibition marks an important marketing and sales platform for SMEs to drive country’s economic growth.

According to Ahmed Al Qaizi, director of Economic Affairs, FICCI:

‘SMEs are the backbone of our economy and they represent majority of the firms registered in UAE. Apart from industrial majors, ‘Made in UAE’ will be an important event for SMEs to help achieve global competitiveness.’

Apart from this exhibition, a special conference component has also been planned for local manufacturers and small companies business owners to help them gain better insight into market dynamics and to promote their products to a bigger customer audience. This would also enable them to develop better strategic relationships with regional and global trade partners; hence promoting the country’s local manufacturing goods and products, to improve the domestic consumer buying behavior.
