Qatar National Bank signed an agreement with NCR Corporation to acquire software for better consumer banking experience. NCR Corporation is one of the leading companies in consumer transaction technologies. The new software will feature NCR Consumer Experience Banking (CxBanking) software – APTRA™ Activate.

Adel Al-Malki, General Manager Information Technology at QNB Group said that the use of latest software technology will help enhance the efficiency of various banking services. He added that the new software is customer-centric and better equipped to meet the changing demands of customers. He expressed confidence in the partnership with NCR and said that the banking experience can be enhanced with the use of innovative technologies.

The APTRA Activate multi-channel platform can be integrated with the bank’s current system. The new software will enable customers to experience consistency in transactions especially for the bank’s self-service channel in an advanced and secure environment. QNB became the first bank in the country to use NCR’s CxBanking Activate Platform to enhance the customer service experience for all banking customers. QNB also plans to migrate to the Windows 7 platform for its self-service network.

Habib Hanna, NCR’s Area Managing Director for South Gulf and Pakistan expressed hope about the implementation of the new NCR software which would allow consistency in banking experiences across all digital and physical channels.

Hicham Yamout, Country Manager NCR Qatar said that QNB customers will benefit from more efficiency and a convenient banking experience. He said that the new system will help increase customer engagement and offer a safer and secure means for banking transactions.
