MECC is the annual meeting point for the Middle East Call Centre industry and the 2017 version sees emphasis on two key themes, improving customer satisfaction and how to avoid making a bad outsourcing decision. The former is a perennial call centre issue but with added urgency at present due to the compelling requirement for regional companies to retain their customer base. Outsourcing is also gaining momentum in the region but many current partnerships are characterized by mismatched requirements. These two conference tracks along with the annual Awards Call Centre competition and a separate vendor workshop provide a unique forum to advance regional development.
