The food safety laws have been made tighter so consumers have more protection and better customer service.
Stringent food laws have been adopted by the cabinet in UAE to control and manage food safety and provide services that overlook and guarantee public health and safeguard the consumers. The government is looking to raise the standard of procedures and improve measures taken for food safety.
These regulations will tighten control procedures and elevate the standard and quality of food “to the highest possible level,” said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
“Our objective and vision in the UAE, which we announced previously, is the development of a healthy society in a safe environment,” Sheikh Mohammmed said after the Cabinet meeting.
