Smartphone Protection Plans for Customers Launched by Etisalat

Etisalat has launched the first smartphone protection plan for customers to protect their cellphones inside and outside the United Arab Emirates against thefts as well as accidents. Etisalat is offering these plans at AED 120 for a total of 6 months protection. Customers can also opt for a longer plan of AED 250 to protect themselves for an entire year.

Existing phone warranties are not comprehensive enough, providing no protection against theft, manufacturing defects, spilled liquid, or cracked screens to name just a few.

Etisalat has launched these plans in partnership with AXA Insurance. These plans will be available to all customers buying cellphones from business outlets or business centres of Etisalat. The protection is only available on purchase of new phones. The plans coverage goes above and beyond the normal warranty terms covered by most insurance policies or warranties. When you buy a phone protected by the plan, you can claim for reimbursement directly from AXA Insurance. The phone will either be replaced or repaired depending on the extent of damage.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Marketing Officer of Etisalat UAE Khaled ElKhouly, said that the company was among the forerunners in providing innovative products to customers in order to ensure their requirements were adequately fulfilled. The company is giving customers the option to buy the latest cellphones with many cost effective data and minutes packages as well as protection for them. The customers can be sure of the quality as well as the cost at which the smartphones are offered to them and this is a small price they are paying against losing a costly phone.
