The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new Ferry Line for passengers in Dubai. The line will run between Al Ghubaiba Station in Dubai Creek and Marina Mall further enhancing the tourist experience of Dubai. The new service is aimed to attract both families and individuals.

The service is said to function between 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM. Speaking on the occasion, Director of Marine Transport Mr. Hussain Khansaheb said that the authority was committed to providing safe yet technologically advanced transport systems for people.

Dubai Ferry has been successfully running since March 2011. The original intention behind starting of this service was to add reliable marine service to the overall transport network of Dubai which could be beneficial for both tourists as well as local residents.

Besides the regular commuting, tourists and regular visitors can plan to organize their personal celebrations on high seas cost effectively. Dubai Ferry is currently offering added express transit service to several new districts including Waterfront projects, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Coastal Strip and Creek.

The new ferry is said to accommodate 100 passengers onboard and can travel up to speeds of 24 knots per hour. Besides providing luxurious water travel, the ferry is said to offer new ways of entertainment to passengers.

Water taxi is already in high demand and is well connected to 32 water taxi stations. The introduction of these new services will not only help reduce extra load on road traffic but also help commuters save considerable amount of time providing them with a comfortable travel experience.
