Zain KSA announced that it has launched the world’s first commercial LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) Carrier Aggregation network in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with Chinese ICT solutions provider, Huawei. According to Zain, the new network is rolled out in two varying frequency bands, Band 1 and Band 3, which will double its capacity and enhance customer broadband experience. The company has publicized that customers can enjoy extremely fast speed of up to 150 Mbps with the new infrastructure that is compatible with its existing countrywide LTE network.

The launch of the new network reiterates Zain’s strategy to develop more advanced broadband network that will allow the company to better serve customers in the Kingdom. The telecom giant anticipates that the new infrastructure will also enable it to meet the growing demand of data usage in the country.

On this prestigious occasion, the CEO of Zain KSA, Mr. Hassan Kabbani said that with the launch of ground breaking LTE-A network, they have once again fulfilled their commitment to offer most advanced and innovative solutions to the customers in Saudi Arabia.

While the CEO of Huawei Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ramadan Ding said that his company will continue to support Zain in offering the latest mobile broadband solutions to help the company enhance its customer service.
