Vodafone launched the first virtual store experience for customers in Qatar at the Telecom World 2014 which was held at the Qatar National Convention Center.

The virtual store is called Scan&Go and will be operational in Doha this month. The store will offer premium shopping experience for everyone in the country. Scan&Go aims to revolutionize retail experience as it deploys technology and offers unprecedented level of convenience to customers.

In order to access the store, customers would require a smartphone and QR Code Reader App, which will enable customers to scan a QR code linked to a Vodafone product. The virtual shops offers customers convenience to browse at their own will, and shop easily by simply pressing a button. Some of the services that can be purchased through Scan&Go include Vodafone Postpaid and Prepaid plans, prepaid credit, Mobile Internet and International Calling Cards. Payments can be made via credit cards or cash can also be paid on delivery.

Khalifa Al-Haroon, Head of Innovation at Vodafone Qatar expressed pride and confidence in offering the very first of its kind virtual store. He said that innovation is an evolutionary process, which means it entails improving on what we already have and making the process easier and more efficient. He said that the virtual store has been designed keeping in mind the accessibility and convenience it could offer. He also said that the store is likely to enhance the customer experience, which will benefit people with busy lifestyles. Scan&Go can be operated 24 hours a day, which means customers can shop even when physical stores are closed.
