Passengers will be provided with bus shuttle service as well as free parking zones in order to ensure smooth customer experience during the upcoming Eid holidays.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has assigned 10 buses for free passenger commute between the Dubai Mall and World Trade Center, to tackle the problem of taxi shortage during the period of the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays.

Traffic management needs a lot of attention during the time span of Eid Al Fitr since it’s a very busy time of the year for people. The Burj Khalifa area will be managed through putting up more than 20 directional signs, which will guide traffic towards the internal roads network within the Business Bay district, creating a link to the Shaikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, which will help divert traffic from the financial center road, easing out the traffic situation.

Hussain Al Banna, Director of Traffic at the RTA Traffic and Roads Agency, mentioned that RTA has devised plans for all important operational factors that need to be kept in mind in order to cater to the passengers and ensure smooth customer experience, during the busy hustle bustle of the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

Parking in paid zones in Dubai will also be free of charge starting July 27th till August 1st, according to the publicized timings by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) during the Eid holidays.  Fees will only be charged for the Fish Market and the multi-level parking terminals, otherwise all parking zones will be free of charge.

Ahmed Mahboob, Director of Customer Service at the RTA, highlighted that customer service centers will remain off for Eid Holidays and will re-open on Sunday, the 3rd of August. Timings for all metro stations red line will start at 5:30 am to 1 am while the Green line stations will be opening from 5.50 am to 1 am from July 28th to July 30th.
