Nakheel developers have just opened up the first of the five community retail malls being planned in Dubai. The new mall, Jumeirah Park Pavilion is a retail facility expanding over an area of 10,600 square meters. The mall is aimed to cater to the needs of people living in Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Village and Jumeirah Islands. The idea is to provide a convenient experience to residents so they don’t have to travel long distances for their shopping needs.

The mall will have 28 shops, cafes, and restaurants as well as a Geant Easy Supermarket being one of the leading attractions which would fulfill shopping needs of customers.

Other malls planned by Nakheel will open in communities of International City, Al Furjan, Jumeirah Islands, Discovery Gardens, and Badrah.

Nakheel Chairman, Mr. Rashid Ali Lootah said that the company was committed to improving life of people by providing them with new services and facilities. He further added that building of new malls contributed to economic, social and environmental sustainability, bringing communities closer and reducing unnecessary car usage.

The company has already planned to open malls for majority of its real estate developments. An AED 2.5 billion Nakheel mall, The Pointe Mall on Palm Jumeirah and night market at Deira Islands are already in plans. There are also plans of expansion of Dragon Mart as well as Ibn Battuta Mall.
