Aramex, a logistic provider in the UAE has signed a joint venture with InPost. This business deal will help Aramex setup parcel lockers network in the MENA Region.

This new service is aimed at both individual and business customers. Automated parcel lockers network will be installed across all major cities of African and Middle Eastern regions. This service will assist online shoppers in collecting and sending packages more conveniently.

COO of Aramex, Lyad Kamal stressed on the importance of this venture and the way it would help improve alliances among business organizations to provide better customer service, saying “There are numerous synergies across our businesses and this partnership offers some exciting opportunities to further develop and grow our e-commerce proposition, enhance our last mile delivery solutions and improve the overall customer service experience for our clients.”

Recent market surveys estimate the e-commerce market in the MENA region to be growing at a fast pace. The market is currently valued at $ 2.9 billion and is estimated to become a $ 5.1 billion industry by 2015.
