Ooredoo Announces Special Packages for Customers With Disabilities
4 years ago by

Ooredoo has introduced a new prepaid Mousbak package called ‘Freedom’ in an attempt to improve the customer experience for people with disabilities. This has been done in order to support the Ministry of Social Development and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) initiatives to ensure welfare for disabled residents.

Ministry of Social Development issues disability cards to people; which can be used to obtain discount from Ooredoo. The package offers call rates of 19 Baiza per minute for national voice and video calls at all times during the day, which is almost half the price for regular Mousbak customers. Additionally, 100 MB of free mobile data is also available to the users of this offer.

Feras Al Shaikh, Ooredoo Director of Sales said that the new ‘Freedom’ pack aims to show support and benefit the people facing disabilities in their lives. It has been specially designed to bring a sense of independence to customers with vision and hearing difficulties. Ooredoo with the introduction of this new package wants to empower people with disabilities by helping them stay connected to their friends and family. This would also help them integrate new and latest technologies in their lives.

Any of the 29 Ooredoo stores across the country can be visited to get this offer. Customers, in order to avail the bundle must bring their Disability Card to any Ooredoo store. Customers will be assisted throughout the process and priority service will be given to customers with disabilities.

Recently, Ooredoo also introduced offers for prepaid and postpaid customers through which they were offered more free minutes for local and international calls. This was done in response to the popularity of smartphone apps and changing consumer behavior and lifestyles.
