Largest Department Store to Open in Yas Mall

One of the region’s largest department stores will be housed in Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi. An agreement has been signed between Aldar Properties and Chalhoub Group for a 200,000 square foot space. A prime portion of the retail estate will be designated within the Yas Mall.

The store will showcase more than 200 global brands. A number of designer products will be available for the customers. Several product categories ranging from fashion, accessories, beauty, and cosmetics will be offered to customers in the store. The diverse variety offered by the store will increase the customer satisfaction levels as people shop for their favorite brands.

Yas Mall is expected to open in November 2014 with 95 percent space already allocated.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO of Aldar Mr. Mohammed Al Mubarak explained about the company’s efforts in creating a luxury retail experience for the customers. A unique shopping experience will be brought forward, showcasing a perfect retail mix for consumers.

Yas Mall, once functional in November 2014, will initially have over 300 stores which would gradually increase to 400. Some of the other notable features of the mall will be the inclusion of F & B brands, 20 screen cinema by VOX Cinemas, Geant operated hypermarket, and family entertainment zone. Hamleys (one of the world’s largest toy store) and Joe Fresh an international fashion brand will also become part of the mall. Recently it was also announced that the House of Fraser store will be a part of Yas Mall too.

Once opened, Yas Mall is set to become a premium shopping destination providing customers with a wide range of retail, dining and entertainment options.
