New services in UAE electronically provide data on the vehicles entering and exiting the port.

UAE’s Ministry of Interior has introduced multiple electronic services this month to support travelers who are exiting and entering by the UAE ports. The services provided to these customers’ gives data on the vehicles registered in UAE as well as the export certificates of the vehicles, so people don’t face delay during checking etc.

Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, Head of ICT Department of Abu Dhabi Police said ,”The new services will improve the mechanism of dealing with travelers through the ports of the country and sending the vehicles’ data automatically from and to the General Department of Customs without manual intervention and auditing. This will reduce the time needed to cross the ports quickly and safely.”

He added that the services are being provided to ensure a better customer experience, which saves time and makes the process more convenient. Colonel Barakat Al Kindi, Deputy Head of the ICT Department of Abu Dhabi Police, said “We are looking forward for more electronic services that reduce the paperwork and saves time and effort for the public”.

Mubarak Matar Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Customs Operations in the General Department of Customs in Abu Dhabi highlighted that the services were in beta trial phase currently and that the electronic connection was being formed between the Ministry of Interior and the General Department of Customs in Abu Dhabi.
