The Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties (ADCP) has initiated a child safety program by introducing fall-prevention gadgets on the windows of 40,000 houses in the residential towers in Abu Dhabi.

Families living in residential towers in Abu Dhabi will have better protection for their children against accidents of falling from balconies and high windows by installation of safety devices.

The safety device has been mapped out to limit the opening of the window or balcony door to only 10 cm as per rules of the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) regulations. The program aims to install 230,000 obstacle devices on the windows within one year.

“As a building operator, we have a duty to ensure the safety of the residents in our properties, and window safety is of paramount importance.” Abdulla Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Managing Director at ADCP said.

The ADCP is looking to provide more safety to residents through this customer service measure and protect children from accidents of falling out of windows and balconies.
